Why Groodles?

Ever wondered what the outcome would be if you combined the most intelligent dog breed in the world with the most affectionate?

Intelligence, charm, good looks…

We’re here to vouch for the Groodle breed, they have it all! They’re just as smart as they are handsome. Groodles are excellent companions for people at all stages of life. Their super smart, inquisitive nature (Poodle) makes obedience training a dream and their loving, affectionate tendencies (Golden Retriever) allow them to seamlessly fit right into families of all different shapes and sizes.

Our Groodles are the product of many years of breeding a Groodle with a Groodle, making them F3 Third-Generation, or ‘Multigenerational’ Groodles.  This means that their genetics are more predictable than earlier generations and we use this predictability to determine the size, coat type, and temperament of your future puppy. Third-Gen Groodle pups have a much lower chance of any health issues opposed to earlier generations due to the selection of our health-tested parents and boast a more consistent temperament that they take from our loyal and loving Mummas.

Gold Coast Groodles have Medium or ‘Mini’ Groodles, as well as Standard size, allowing you to choose a Groodle that fits perfectly with your lifestyle and personality! One of the best things about Groodles is their low-shedding and hypoallergenic coats, fleece or wool, which means they're great for those with allergies.

Our Groodles

Flat Coat
A Golden Retriever, but make it more agile, less shedding, minus the drool? Introducing, the flat/straight coat. This coat is characterised by dense, thick, and water-resistant hair with feathering on the legs and tail. The ears crimp like the 80’s when they’re wet, and it’s silky smooth nature is perfect for cuddles. Please note – this coat is not hypoallergenic and does shed.

Fleece Coat
Que teddy bear vibes! The open fleece coat is characterised by soft, wavy or loose curls that are open and flow freely, and is considered the most desirable coat type due to its low-shedding and hypoallergenic qualities – it’s the shaggy, teddy bear look! The coat can vary in length and color, and requires regular brushing to maintain its soft, silky texture. It's important to note that tightness of the coat’s curl can vary even within the same litter.

Wool Coat
No hair on the lounge? How is this possible! The wool coat is characterised by tight, curly hair that forms dense, wool-like curls, just like the Poodle (or a sheep). This type of coat is the lowest-shedding hypoallergenic option, making it very popular for those who have allergies as it traps hair and dander so less hair is shed. The wool coat requires regular grooming to prevent matting and tangling, and professional grooming should be scheduled every six to eight weeks to keep the coat in good condition.

Meet The Parents

Honey Girl

Honey is a F2B straight/flat coat second generation Groodle. She is a gentle soul that would spend her entire day on your lap if she could. In both looks and temperament, Honey has inherited much from the Poodle breed. She has a strong yet slight body, with long legs and snout. Her beautiful long, dense coat is, however, thanks to the Golden Retriever as well as her very loyal and calm nature. Please note, it is NOT non-shedding, however when mated with a fleece coat, her puppies boast a beautiful, low shedding, silky open fleece coat. She is apricot in colour. Honey is an outstanding mother. She spends every waking hour tending to them for the first four weeks, with very little interference from us. It has been incredible watching her beautiful nature on display.

Murphy Girl

Murphy is a standard size Multigenerational (F3) open fleece coat Groodle. She is as friendly as they come and is always hoping you’re ready to play fetch! Murphy’s silky fleece coat accompanied by her adorable teddy bear like face makes her one good looking doggo! She is 19kg. Murphy will have her first litter in 2024. Her puppies will be standard size, fleece coat Groodles.

Lexie Girl

Lexie is a medium size “mini” Multigenerational (F3) wool coat Groodle. She is a bundle of energy, extremely affectionate, and incredibly loyal. True to the Groodle breed, she is intelligent and learnt her commands very quickly. She is a true medium, weighing 16kg and 48cm tall. Lexie’s apricot wool coat is nothing short of magnificent. It’s hypoallergenic, non-shedding nature has been a breeze to manage, and is passed down to her puppies.
