We’re Jarrod & Stacey Davis, and Gold Coast Groodles reflects who we are, people who care deeply about dogs, and just as deeply about the families who welcome them home.
Understanding our Families
We hold ourselves to exceptionally high standards in how we raise our puppies, but we also understand something just as important: every human is different, every family is different, and every dog has its own unique soul. Our passion lies in taking the time to truly get to know our families as they become part of our community, their lifestyle, rhythm, and what they’re hoping for in a dog, so we can thoughtfully pair the right puppy personality with the right home. It’s this people first, relationship driven approach that allows us to raise well adjusted Groodles who don’t just fit into a family’s life, but genuinely belong in it.
Oooodles of Experience
Gold Coast Groodles is built on generations of hands on canine experience and mentorship. Jarrod grew up immersed in dogs, guided by the knowledge passed down from his grandfather, Phil Davis, a respected veterinarian, breeder and senior university lecturer, and by his parents, Paul & Sharon Davis, who have spent over three decades breeding oodle breeds through Doodle Dogs in New South Wales. Paul’s background as a former RAAF Police dog trainer and handler, combined with Sharon’s focus on genetics, health and behavioural development, represents a lifetime of practical learning, shaping the standards, values and care we proudly carry forward today.
Why We Chose Groodles
Having grown up around many breeds, Jarrod developed a deep appreciation for the Groodle, drawn to their consistency in temperament, emotional intelligence and ability to integrate seamlessly into family life. That’s why we chose to focus exclusively on this breed, not because it’s popular, but because we believe it offers something truly special for families of all shapes and sizes. AND, because we genuinely love them.
We’ve seen it time and time again, the moment families realise their Groodle is more “human like” than just a dog. They love to snuggle, they love to please, they become a constant presence under the table, on the couch, and in everyday family life. Creating dogs that form deep bonds and truly belong is what drives us.
Raised in our Family
We’re also uncompromising when it comes to the environment and care our puppies receive. From birth, they’re raised in a purpose built, climate controlled area in our home which is a nurturing, enriched setting amongst our young family designed to support confidence, emotional development and wellbeing.
The Gold Coast Groodles Experience
For us, it’s about the whole experience and making families feel genuinely part of the journey from the very beginning.
From the moment a pairing takes place, our families are right there alongside us through pregnancy updates, birth announcements and fortnightly puppy updates as the litter grows. For many families, there’s months, and often well over a year, of excitement leading up to finally meeting their puppy.
Handover day is something really special in our home. Every puppy from the litter goes home on the same day, with families welcomed into our lounge room where we sit down together, chat through everything they need to know and celebrate the moment their family grows by one. That warm, personal and family focused experience is the Gold Coast Groodles experience we’re proud of.
